We're also honored to have a regular on the show, Conor McKenna fill-in for Murph again as a guest host from the Team 990 studio in Montreal! Merci Beaucoup to Conor! Murph is covering the Sabres-Bruins series and will come on in the final segment to give the scoop from Buffalo.
Our feature guests this week are Shawn Roarke of NHL.com and Nate Ewell, the Washington Capitals' PR guru. Shawn is on an eight games in eight days tour across the Eastern Conference and he will be calling in from the road to update us on his adventures thus far. Nate meanwhile has worked through a renaissance for the Caps and the NHL in Washington DC and has been a pioneer for new media covering the NHL and pro sports. We'll get his take on that and the Caps-Habs series.

We had a great show this week! There plenty of goaltending talk for all you goalies and fans of the men between the pipes! Los Angeles Kings Goaltending Coach and former NHLer Bill Ranford joined us to discuss the Kings goaltending situation and look back on his storied career. Our other featured guest was Joe Exter, the USA goaltending coach for the 2010 IIHF Under 20 World Junior Championships Gold Medal winners!
Patrick King of Sportsnet.ca recapped USA's upset win over Canada World Junior Championships and the recent trade madness across the junior hockey world; Bob Snow came on to give us the Campus Buzz and recap BC-BU at Fenway Park; Conor McKenna of the Team 990 made his regular visit and last but not least, we finished things off by going "Toe to Toe" with Toddy Carroll to close out the show.

We've had a great show to start 2010 talking Winter Classic, World Junior Championships, Olympics and NHL hockey. Thanks to all our guests!
Joe Haggerty of CSNNE.com joined us to discuss the 2010 Winter Classic at Fenway Park, the Bruins and some NHL news. We then chatted with Red Sox and Fenway Park P.A. announcer Carl Beane about his thoughts on baseball and hockey intertwining at the Winter Classic. We had a great conversation about the late Jack Falla, (who authored many books on outdoor hockey), with his son Brian Falla and discussed what his Dad would've thought of the Winter Classic being at Fenway Park.

Winter Wonderland At Fenway Park/Inside Hockey Radio Show January 2
Happy New Year! Athbhliain faoi mhaise dhuit! Bonne Année!
I am writing this from the press box in Fenway Park after an amazing 2010 Winter Classic where the Bruins beat the Flyers 2-1 in overtime. I will document more of this later but I must give kudos to the NHL, the Bruins and Flyers and the Red Sox for putting on a memorable and magical event! This is why I do this job and as Mark Recchi said, to see Bobby Orr lead the Bruins onto the ice was simply something he or anyone in attendance will ever forget!
